Headteacher Weekly Bulletin 9th October 2019

Hello everyone,

We have three big events this week.

Harvest Festival Wednesday 9th October 2019 - Thank You

Our Ethos Team is running assembly with me today and we are thinking about 'Harvest for the World'. Please ask your child about our assembly from yesterday too - see if they can tell you how we used Year 3 pupils and 50 sweets to show food inequality across the world! We sent a letter out last week to ask for donations and Mr Irvine is weighing it for the year group competition before we take it across to the Foodbank. You have, as always, been so generous! We displayed all the goods provided in the Hall as a focal point for our assembly. We will share some of our Harvest Assembly photos and songs on school's twitter account with you.

Photos Thursday 10th October 2019

We are hosting in the hall for juniors and infants this year. Don't forget if you want your pre-school children and babies in the photo (or as an extra photo), please come for 8.30 am. We've got chairs, toys and juice for children while you wait.

All children - please make your child has their jumper/cardigan and full uniform on for the photos. Yes, they can bring hair brushes in (my older pupils have been asking me!)

E Safety Assessment Friday 11th October 2019 9.00 am please!

Please will you let the office know if you are able to have a quick chat with our assessor  about online safety and what school does to help children stay safe online on Friday morning at start of school? Hoping Digital Leaders' Parents can come too as they are so keen! Tea, coffee and biscuits for all!

*COMING SOON* You should have had a leaflet about Mr Jordan's (our PE Coach) holiday sports camp over October half term for pupils in Y1 - Y6. If not, there are some in the entrance and ask at the office. It's just £12 per day, 9am to 3pm. Lots of fun games and sports inside and out. Pupils come in comfy clothes and bring a packed lunch.

If you are in receipt of free school meals, the charge is £6 per day - we subisidse this through the pupil premium grant. The office staff will send out a  targeted text out if we have your details.

Thanks for all your support,

Mrs N and all the staff at MPJS
