Well, we made it through to the holidays! Thanks for letting us know promptly about children’s illness, waiting for tests etc. This does help us keep on top of health and wellbeing. I hope you like the work packs we have sent home when you have been at home.

Holiday Homework

We have set some fun whole school art challenges this half term (We will display all our entries around school on return) and we want the whole school to go on ‘EPIC’, which is a ‘Netflix’ type app for on-line reading books we think the children will like. Please upload photos to Facebook of your children doing fun activities so we can share their achievements.

Clubs - correct year groups now matching parent pay!

As said previously, we are not going to charge for clubs this term as each year group will get a shorter block of six lessons – school will absorb the cost for all pupils this term. Parents will pick their children up from their ‘year group parent zone’ in the playground – this keeps us all safe. I am keeping Y3 in singing/drama until Christmas. Book them on Parent Pay as usual please from 4.30 pm today.

Clubs run from Monday 2nd November to Wednesday 9th December (6 weeks)

Thank you!

You raised £297 for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital & Young Minds so we will split our money between the two charities. We had a fantastic day.

PTFA Winter Movie nights

We will not be doing discos this autumn but wanted to do something special for our children in a fun and safe way. We are going to run 4 separate movie nights in the hall – a year group bubble at a time in November and December. Dates and details to follow!

Don’t forget to email me on info@mpjs-trafford.co.uk for any updates re: covid. I have access to this email outside of ‘school hours’ and will help and advise where I can. We will not be checking the school telephone in the holidays.

We return to school on Monday 2nd November from 8.40 am and it will be PE kits as usual for Year 6 and Year 3 children.

Have a lovely break, enjoy some rest and family time and see you all soon!
