Sports Day Update

Hello Everyone,

Sports Day is ON!

Timings are as follows:

9.15 am Start of traditional races. Please make your way to the field, where you will receive a sticker and a programme of events for the day. The programme has lots of information and tips on but here are a few 'need to know' items:

Please bring chairs/rugs to sit on for the morning - make yourself comfortable!

But don't get too comfortable as there will be some parents' races..!

Please stay on the parents and family side of the track. Pupils must not cross the track at any time.

No e-cigarettes allowed.

No dogs on the field please.

You may use the toilets in the school office. Pupils will be taken to the toilets at regular intervals by our lovely luncthime staff who have volunteered to help.

Please send your child into school with PE kit on (if it is at home) and add trainers - better for outdoor work than pumps. Please put suncream on your child if it is sunny and provide a hat if required. A water bottle would also be helpful.

Teachers will take inhalers etc. out with them for their children.

We have a first aid base set up all day.

Icepops are being provided by the PTFA and we will have water stations too.

We aim to finish the morning by 11.30 and the pupils will go back to school.

At 1.15 pm it is our carousel of team challenges and games. You will recevie a sticker and a programme.

The map on the programme shows you where each class will be starting - we hope this is a helpful addition to the programme. Please feel free to follow your child/ren around as they move through the challenges.

We aim to finish about 3.00 pm and pupils will all go back to school - it is easier to dismiss the children from the playground. We will open the playground to you a bit earlier so we can send children out to you.

Looking forward to it - hope to see you there.

Best wishes,

Mrs Nunwick
